Bychawa wooden house of Sprawka family. The house was built in late XIX or early XX century. Held by Sprawka family. Destroyed in late ’70s to build concrete block of flats.

Bychawa Lewczynski Wooden House

Bychawa wooden house of Lewczynski family which stood next to Bank. The house was built in late XIX or early XX century. Destroyed in early ’50s or ’60s to build concrete block of flats.

Wooden house of Karpinski family at Turobinska street. House was built at the break of XIX/XX century, it was destroyed in late 50’s or early 60’s.

Bychawa brick house and wooden barn of blacksmith Zminda. Built at the beginning of 20th century. Current view.

Bychawa Blacksmith’s Shop

Bychawa wooden building of blacksmith Zminda.
Built probably in late ’50s or early ’60s. Still exists. Used as storeroom.

Bychawa Flis Blacksmith’s Wooden House

Wooden house of Flis family. The house was built at the break of XIX/XX century at Turobinska street. Destroyed in 50’s or 60’s. According to local sources, the owner of the house was a blacksmith.

This tenement house was built in 1932 as it is engraved on the top front of the building. Current view.

Bychawa Multi-family House

Bychawa brick multi-family house built in ’20s. In ’60s. served as Police Station (Komisiariat Milicji Obywatelskiej).

Bychawa Tenement 2-floor

Bychawa 2-floor brick tenement house built probably by A. Fraczek around 1910. Currently owned by Sagan family, serves as grocery store. Model in current view.

Bychawa tenement house owned by Walczak family. Built probably between 1910 and 1920 as Jewish store. Model in current view.

Bychawa Jewish Tenement

Tenement house of Szmul Eintmagnjonow built in 1892 after a great fire in Bychawa. Building stood in eastern frontier of the market square. It was destroyed during WWII or straight after.

Bychawa Jewish Tenement – 2

 

This tenement house was built in 1982 by Chaim Lustemberg and Berek Brad. It stood in the eastern frontage of the market square. It was destroyed during WWII or straight after.

Bychawa Jewish Tenement Houses 1892-1893

Bychawa Jewish tenement houses built in 1892 and 1893 after fire that burned the town in 1892.

Tenement houses were build by:
Market square No. 18 – A. Szternfeld (before WWII owned by D. Rajs),
Market square No. 19 – J. Fafajzel, – model made by M. Strojny (slight changes added)
Market square No. 20 – L. Ajnsztejn & L. Finkelsztajn – model made by M. Strojny (slight changes added)

After WWII nationalized and changed into communal apartments.

Bychawa Jewish Tannery 1906

Bychawa Jewish wooden 2-floor tannery built by L. I. Klajman in 1906 at the bank of Kosarzewka river. The tannery was probably destroyed during WWII.

Bychawa Jewish wooden tannery built by K. Zelman and M. Herszenzon in 1907. Probably destroyed during WWII.

Wola Bychawska Distillery Skawinscy

The distillery (gorzelnia) was built by Skawinscy gentry family in 1899 in their granage Wola Bychawska. It worked until WWI and was burned during austro-hungarian – russian fights in 1914.

Bychawa Michalowa Janitor House

The house of municipal janitor Michalowa and local arrest (koza). Built in XIX century, definitely stood in 1957, then destroyed to build kindergarten.

Bychawa-Podzamcze stable 1890

Bychawa-Podzamcze stable built by A. Budny around 1890.

After WWII nationalized by Soviet occopants. Till 1989 used as a stable or store. After 1989 bought by private investor. Renovated and used as a wedding house.

Bychawa Sobieszczanski Bakery

Bychawa bakery of Sobieszczanscy family. Built around 1900, demolished in early ’80s.

Bychawa Ajzensztat Mill 1925

Bychawa wooden motor-mill built by W. Ajzensztat (Jewish) in 1925. Probably destroyed during WWII.

Bychawa Kryska Mill 1925

Bychawa wooden motor-mill built by P. Kryska in 1925. In ’30s owned by Jew (probably Rostenberg?) due to debt of Kryska family. Nationalized after WWII. Abandoned afret 1989, destroyed in 2002. In place supermarket was built.
