The StaticGrassKing Static grass applicator kit offers you the opportunity to make a low cost, high power, efficient and versatile static grass applicator.
.The kit is easy and fast to assemble. It comes with a static field generator specially designed for applying static grass and easy flocking. The generator can be powered with any DC power source between 4.5 volts and 12 volts. The static field generated varies with the input voltage. At 12 volts input, the static field is a nominal -15kv DC.
In the page below we go through, in detail, the benefits of the kit and the completed static grass applicator.

Makes A More Powerful Static Grass Applicator Than Many Much More Expensive Commercial Applicators.
The configuration of the final kit allows you to put the powerful 15kv static field just where you need it. You can concentrate the static field and outperform most other static grass applicators.
This comment we received our satisfied customers puts it quite succinctly.
Begin Comments – “It works! I have a Noch Grassinator, a Flockbox a flyswatter static grass applicator and I bought the Grassking Static Field Generator and it is by far the best I have used and it is the most versatile.”
My train group has been converted to using the Grassking pictured here. We have had excellent results using it and I would highly recommend it to anyone working with static grass! The service has also been great. It comes with excellent instructions. I have bought the kit which goes together very quickly and one diy for another project. Both have worked flawlessly!
Thank you Gary. The machine is our favorite. One of the two I ordered was for a man who did electronic repair for a living!
Our group loves them. We call my original one the Death Star! We are now using a 7.5 volt regulated power supply.
It still puts out a great charge! We really like them and I’m sure there will be more orders from us. We used the third one with a regulated 7.5 regulated power supply and it worked great!
My train group is really impressed with the generator.” – End Comments
Low Cost, DIY, Easy To Assemble Unit That Makes It Affordable For You To Have Your Own Powerful Static Grass Applicator.
You get everything necessary to make the field generation unit for your static grass applicator. All that you have to do is add a vegetable strainer and some form of power supply, such as a discarded electronic device charger.
Assemble your own static grass applicator in about one half hour. No soldering or special tools required!
All that you have to do is drill a couple holes and connect wires. You do not have to do any soldering because all the connectors are solderless.
Here is a video of a DIY static grass applicator, that was made using this anion generator.
Uses a static field generator especially designed for static grass applicators.
Use the right tool for the right job.
A large number of other negative ion generators are designed to be used in air conditioners, fly swatters, vacuum cleaners and air purification equipment.
The negative ion generator/anion generator used in this unit was designed specifically to be used in static grass applicators. It can, of course, be used in any other application but its main purpose is to power versatile, quality static grass applicators.
With it you can make a static grass applicator that will outperform most of the static grass applicators on the market.
A powerful unit that makes laying grass easy. No grass flying all over the place.
The output with a 12 v DC input is 15 kv.
The higher the static field, the more pull there is to make the grass stand up just where you want it. No more wasted grass flying all over the place.
For you that means that you won’t have grass laying down in the glue. And you won’t have to go over your work with a vacuum cleaner to stand the grass up – a process recommended by many people using other applicators.
And, if you are going to make grass tufts ( “everyone” does ) or flowers ( many do ), you want your grass standing as straight and high as possible. That goes for short grass that you will top with scatter to make weeds.
Unique variable input to output voltage control allows you to work at output voltages as low as 7.5 kilovolts DC
When we designed this, we took into consideration feedback from beta testers that sometimes it might be useful to work with lower output voltages or lower input voltages.
So you get a unit whose output voltage varies with the input voltage. With a 12vDC input, output is a nominal 12 to 15kv DC.
You can use any input voltage from 4vDC to 12vDC. The output will vary from 6kvDC to 15kvDC. The higher the input voltage, the higher the output voltage.
Input vDC | 4 | 5.8 | 5.6 | 7.5 | 8.6 | 9.9 | 10.9 | 11.9 |
Output -Kv | 7.5 | 8.5 | 9.5 | 10.5 | 11.5 | 12.5 | 13.5 | 14.5 |
So you have a lot of flexibility for your application.
12vDC input so that you do not have to work with 110V or 220V power.
When working with electricity, safety should always be your first concern!
Simply stated, it is better to work with a 12vDC low current source than a 110 or 220vAC high current source.
And as a practical matter, 12vDC is all around your layout. You can connect to your power pack, the track, accessory bus, etc.. Whatever is convenient.
There is no need to be hauling an extension cord around just so you have 110 or 220vAC for your static grass applicator.
The Electronics Are European Union Certified.
For your safety and equipment reliability, the negative ion generator complies with European Union regulations.
