To send your MIT App Inventor code to another person, you can follow these steps:
### Exporting and Sending the Project File (.aia)
1. **Open Your Project**: Log in to MIT App Inventor and open the project you want to share.
2. **Export the Project**:
– Click on **”Projects”** in the top menu.
– Select **”Export selected project (.aia) to my computer”**.
– This will download a .aia file to your computer.
3. **Send the .aia File**:
– You can now send the .aia file to another person using email, cloud storage (like Google Drive, Dropbox), or any file-sharing method you prefer.
### Importing the Project File (.aia)
To open the project, the recipient should follow these steps:
1. **Log In to MIT App Inventor**: They need to log in to their MIT App Inventor account.
2. **Import the Project**:
– Click on **”Projects”** in the top menu.
– Select **”Import project (.aia) from my computer”**.
– Locate and select the .aia file you sent them to upload it.
### Exporting and Sending the APK (Optional)
If you want to send a runnable version of your app (not the source code), you can export the APK:
1. **Build the APK**:
– Click on **”Build”** in the top menu.
– Select **”App (save .apk to my computer)”**.
– This will generate and download the .apk file.
2. **Send the APK**:
– Send the .apk file via email, cloud storage, or any file-sharing method.
### Sharing Through a Repository (Optional)
For ongoing projects or collaboration, you can use a repository service like GitHub:
1. **Create a Repository**: Create a new repository on GitHub (or any other version control platform).
2. **Upload the .aia File**: Upload the .aia file to the repository.
3. **Share the Repository Link**: Share the link to the repository with your collaborator, who can then clone or download the project files.
