Different jobs require different grass containers to get the best in fact. For example making grass patches and field scenery should be done with different grass containers. With the plug and play feature of the StaticGrassKing, it is extremely easy to do this.

Working around borders, in ditches, streams, and other areas that require fine work becomes very easy to do when you pick a grass container that suits the job exactly. The modular design makes it very easy to do this.

If you use a tea or vegetable strainer, it’s just a simple matter of turning them over, tapping out the grass and refilling with something new. And if you do like we do, we often have other containers preloaded and just change the container that is plugged into the control unit. This is very convenient.

Since the grass container and power supply are separate modules, you don’t pay for a power supply or grass container. You pay for only what is important and that is the electronics.

The higher the static field, the more pull there is to make the grass stand up just where you want it. No more wasted grass flying all over the place.
For you that means that you won’t have grass laying down in the glue. And you won’t have to go over your work with a vacuum cleaner to stand the grass up – a process recommended by many people using other applicators.
And, if you are going to make grass tufts ( “everyone” does ) or flowers ( many do ), you want your grass standing as straight and high as possible. That goes for short grass that you will top with scatter to make weeds.

When we designed this, we took into consideration feedback from beta testers that sometimes it might be useful to work with lower output voltages or lower input voltages.
So you get a unit whose output voltage varies with the input voltage. With a 12vDC input, output is a nominal 12 to 15kv DC.
You can use any input voltage from 4vDC to 12vDC. The output will vary from 6kvDC to 15kvDC. The higher the input voltage, the higher the output voltage.
So you have a lot of flexibility for your application.
12vDC input so that you do not have to work with 110V or 220V power.
When working with electricity, safety should always be your first concern!
Simply stated, it is better to work with a 12vDC low current source than a 110 or 220vAC high current source.
And as a practical matter, 12vDC is all around your layout. You can connect to your power pack, the track, accessory bus, etc.. Whatever is convenient.
There is no need to be hauling an extension cord around just so you have 110 or 220vAC for your static grass applicator.
