Making a servo mount for a model train level crossing can be done using acrylic
This is a step by step guide to making cost saving, easy to install servo brackets.
Cut acrylic to Size 7.5 by 5.3 cm .
It will then be bent using a hot air gun. The bend should be made at 2 cm from the top edge.
This video shows the bending process.
A soldering iron is used to make holes in the acrylic.
Use this image to make a template to cut out the center servo mounting hole.
Use a soldering iron to make holes in the center so that you can insert a coping saw blade and cut out the area.
Cut a little undersized and square it up with a file. Measurements are in mm.
Then make holes for the servo and bracket mounting screws.
This video shows how this is done.
You may want to buy ready made brackets. You can get them here.
